University of Lynchburg
This is one of the most important sections of your proposal. Please explain the problem and how your idea will solve the problem. You may want to include some statistics or infographics to better demonstrate the need or the problem you are solving for. Be as specific as you can.
In this section, focus on what you want to achieve (i.e. your measurable goals) and how you plan to achieve them (i.e. your objectives). While goals are slightly more broad and ambitious, objectives are specific and measurable.
Please include whether this project will 1) increase revenue, 2) save money, or 3) enhance the student/employee experience at Lynchburg.
This section allows you to expand on your approach for meeting your goals and objectives. Please include meetings with various departments for approval.
The budget section provides information on how the funds, if awarded, will be spent.
To the best of your ability, itemize each of the expenses required to fund this idea, even if it’s an estimated projection. Some budget categories could include new hire salaries, marketing/advertising, program supplies, etc.
If you have other sources of funding, it may be a good idea to also include those here to demonstrate the project is viable.
It is one thing to set a measurable goal, but how will you know that you have reached it? The evaluation plan is where you would detail how you will collect data to evaluate the efficacy of your idea.
Please include who will be involved in the idea process and how. Also, include who will “own” the idea after it is implemented and who will be in charge of sustainability
